Cette œuvre de style victorien de Robert Matheson en 1859, est une fontaine à trois étages, sculptée dans le grès, représentant une triple couronne posée sur un socle octogonal orné de têtes de lions. Résidence officielle de la monarchie Britannique en Ecosse, le palais d’Holyrood se situe dans le bas du Royal Mile, l’artère principale qui le relie au château d’Édimbourg.

This work of Victorian style, by Robert Matheson in 1859 is a carved 3-stage sandstone fountain forming triple crown set on an octogonal plinth with lion’s head faucets to each face. Official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, the Holyrood Palace is located in the lower side of the Royal Mile, the main street that connects it to Edinburg Castle.
