En entrant par la porte Nord, le Palais de Holyrood est aligné avec « le siège d’Arthur », un volcan éteint au cœur d’Édimbourg. Résidence officielle de la monarchie Britannique en Ecosse, il se situe dans le bas du Royal Mile, l’artère principale qui le relie au château d’Édimbourg. Le Palais d’Holyrood fut le théâtre en 1566 de l’assassinat de David Rizzio, secrétaire particulier de Marie Stuart, en sa présence.

Entering the Northern gate, Holyrrod Palace is line up with Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano, in the heart of Edinburgh. Official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, it is located in the lower side of the Royal Mile, the main street that connects it to Edinburg Castle. It witnessed in 1566, the murder of David Rizzio, private secretary to Mary Stuart, Quenn of the Scots, in her presence.
